My artwork “Chitterlings” is tattooed on my shoulder.

The ‘Chitterling’ is a part of a pig that connects its lower intestinal tract to the outer anus. My first job at the abattoir was to clean excrement from Chitterlings with a high-powered tap.

I took a photo of my hands clasping delicately at cuts of dirty Chitterling. This photograph has very deep sentimental meaning for me and I now wear it on my body as a permanent badge of honour. I am proud of this work I have done. I am proud to say I have cleaned hundreds of thousands of Chitterling until they shimmered, pristine and pink.
